Why failing can be more important then winning.
All the hard things
I always thought growing up that failing was really negative and making me appear to others that I sucked. Then I realized as I got older who are these people that I care so much about what they think about my failures? Usually people I barely know…so I stopped caring about what others thought and worked more on myself and growing better then I was yesterday.
Failures are the opposite of bad. Look at it this way. If you try doing 100 different things vs doing 0 things what do you think your chances are of succeeding if you do 100? Well it’s way more then 0 that’s for sure. I was lucky to have many great mentors that taught me these little nuggets that continue helping me today.
When you fail at something use the opportunity to tune into your problem solving and analytical skills and figure out from start to finish what happened and why. Use that knowledge next time to make it better. Fail fast and fail often! Only thing I ask is try not doing the same mistake over and over again because they say that’s the definition of insanity;)
